Gateway Basketball Club was started in 1982 by students from Gateway College and still play their home games at Gateway College, which is now located in Hamilton.

We are an inclusive club that welcomes players of all levels, to compete across all 3 of the LBBL divisions.

Our current squads comprise of…

Division 1 – Gateway Guardians
Division 2 – Gateway Galaxy
Division 3 – Gateway Grizzlies

In the final game of last season, our Division 4 Gateway Grizzlies took to court with a starting 5 of players all over the age of 60, including some of the original founding members who still play on a weekly basis.

This year, Gateway Basketball Club are celebrating their ‘Ruby’ Anniversary so will be wearing a commemorative ‘Anniversary Edition’ red kit across all 3 teams, which has been produced by our club sponsor, Triple Double Hoopwear.
