The LBBL and LeBOA each have their own organising committee, elected from local players, ex-players, table officials and referees, to run a competitive basketball league.

For the 2024-25 season The Leicestershire Basketball League has 3 divisions with teams mainly from Leicester and Leicestershire but also teams from Rutland, South Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.

Leicester Basketball Officials Association (LeBOA)

Leicestershire Basketball Officials Association (LeBOA) represents all qualified referees and table officials in Leicestershire and Rutland. It provides training and development opportunities for both existing and new officials, an appointments service to the league, and to other competitions, and acts as the “trade union” for all officials.
