Basketball for all ages and abilities

As well as competitive games, there are opportunities to play casually within the Leicestershire area. Most clubs offer taster sessions or open training inbetween game nights. Although a majority of players in the LBBL senior league are men, women are welcome to join any of the teams within the league. The LBBL offers 3 divisions of varying abilities with division 1 offering close to national league standards moving down to division 3 where teams consist of a mix of new junior and senior players.

Infant and Junior basketball is available at some clubs throughout the region. This provides a great opportunity for those looking to learn the game and progress into the LBBL.

There are also opportunities for some casual basketball sessions for women’s and walking basketball through the Leicester Riders Foundation and for wheelchair basketball through Leicester Cobras Wheelchair Basketball Club.
