A Referee2010-03-23 20:39 |
In response to Bob B - Referees are supplied by clubs. It is up to each club to get their players/members developed/qualified as referees. How many qualified refs does your team supply ? Also the amount of stick these guys take from players and coaches hardly inspires young kids to referee. May be we need a respect campaign like they have in football so all those players and coaches who obviously don't know the rules of the game and have a go at the refs start to appreciate that no ref means no game and that it is their behaviour that ultimately contributes to the overall standard of the officials because who wants to give up their evening to be verbally abused all night long Finally in my view the standard of refereeing in this area is more than adequate for the standard of basketball being played in this area |

hey all, quick question regarding undershirts in this league, are compression and protective sleeveless vests allowed and if so can the rules on colours be adapted so that teams that do not play in either black or white (which these tend to be only available in) are not pulled up by the referees for a non matching undershirt. i raise this issue as i have suffered two rib injuries this year one resulting in two being broken and another fractured, koshix@hotmail.com |
